This site was built using Divi https://www.elegantthemes.com/documentation/divi/

The most important things to understand are sections, rows, and modules, explained in

Getting Started With The Divi Builder

followed by the difference between using the Blog module as on the front page

and the page about DPVP https://www.dis-spelling.org.uk/dpvp/

and just using categories in the menu as in https://www.dis-spelling.org.uk/category/disabilities-team/

The Divi Blog Module

(difference: the blog module allows an explanation to go above the post feed)

Normal WordPress side bars have been removed by adding CSS in  Divi > Theme Options

https://www.elegantthemes.com/blog/divi-resources/how-to-remove-sidebars-from-divi

(they can be recreated in Divi by going for a 2:1 column split within rows: the method used here allows more control over the content)

Default fonts are Trebuchet 18 for body text with line height: 1.4 and Verdana 30 for headers: selected to be dyslexia friendly

Fonts: Divi > Theme Customiser > General Settings > Typography (the theme customiser is also in dropdown top left)

Background colour: Theme Customiser > General Settings > Background

What to do when setting up a new post

First step – settle on a slug and a title
Click on the Use Divi Builder purple box
The default that appears is a row within a standard section
Click on Insert Columns and you get to choose a layout – for most posts go for the single green block at top left

Insert Module Post Title, add a Text module underneath

Under Divi Post Settings at top right, change Post Title to Hide (this stops it appearing twice)

Start writing in the Text module you’ve just created, and you’re good to go

Add the new post to the correct categories

All Posts (only posts in this category appear in https://www.dis-spelling.org.uk/category/all-posts/) so everything should be added to this category

If you add a new category remember to add it to the Blog module on the Welcome page or it won’t show up there

Then it’s just Save Draft, Preview, or Publish
